About

Shared values for human progress and community revival

Our Pledge to Grow a “Healthy Neighborhood”

The time has come for individuals and enterprises to work together as a Community or Neighborhood, committed to restoring human health and a happier and more equitable society.

We believe that we can create this “Healthy Neighborhood” by loving our neighbors and living “The Golden Rule.” (Doing unto all others as we would have them do unto us.) And we must respect and nurture our Mother Earth.
It is our source of food, air and water. It is our home

We commit to restoring the balance between humanity and nature by:

  • reducing pollution and energy use in our homes
  • removing poisons from our land, waters and the air around us
  • reusing, re-purposing and recycling
  • planting trees and gardens and conserving water

We improve our standard of loving (not living) as we think global but act local.
We support our “Healthy Neighborhood” community by :

  • purchasing locally grown, unprocessed food and drink
  • patronizing local businesses such as tailors, snack and soap makers, local fruit and vegetable growers, auto taxis, coaches, crafters, etc.
  • focusing on simplicity, healthy food and lifestyle choices vs embracing consumerism driven by corporate advertising

We emphasize health care, rather than sick care. We approach wellness as emanating
from our thoughts, attitudes, food and exercise choices by:

  • focusing on healthy, nutritional food choices
  • engaging in regular exercise
  • creating a community of caring and sharing to help others become healthier and more productive
  • feeding our mind with healthy thought and moderating consumption of negative, untrue and sensational media
  • fostering a culture of life long learning
  • forming citizens groups that hold our representatives accountable, using RTI requests, media and other resources to effect positive change
  • believing in the intrinsic value of each individual
  • instilling timeless core values and social skills in our youth
  • providing a “hand up” vs a “hand out” to our community members
